Community

We are building a community of like minded people who are sick of feeling the pressure to conform to the “Average” world.

RESIST THE URGE TO BE AVERAGE

If you're tired of the intimidation to conform to less than you're best because people everywhere don't hold personal and professional Excellence as their core value, check out the rules below… Are you right for The Resistance?

These are the rules of The Resistance:
who we are, what we stand for, why we’re here, and what we are trying to do. If you’re wondering if Maximize Excellence is right for you, look no further than this list.
This is the Maximize Excellence Manifesto.

Hopefully, the ideals we stand for resonate with you, cause you to “Rise UP” and Join the battle against mediocrity – we’d be honored to have you.

#1. We don’t care who you know or where you came from.

Yesterday is not ours to replay, but Today Is Ours and what you do right now determines whether you’ll win or lose tomorrow.

We don’t care where you came from or how you got here. Everyone has different backgrounds, education, social connections, hang-ups and commitments.

We were all “dealt” the hand we have and we had absolutely, no control over it—Now it’s up to us to play the game and WIN!

Within the Resistance it’s up to each of us to stand against the urge to just be average and push each other to higher heights in our careers, businesses and personal lives.

We work together to find what’s not working and fix it.
The past is the past but five years from today, your life and career will be in the exact same place it is right now except for three factors.

  1. What you hear between now and then that
    influences you

  2. What you do today to change it and

  3. Who you choose to do it with that can motivate you, encourage you and keep you accountable.

Today can be the first day of the rest of your life if you’ll just believe it and allow it.

#2. Once You Join, You’re Family.
Nothing in life has a tighter bond than family. Whether you get along great with yours or you get so angry your eyes fill with blood. There is nothing that can separate you from your family. You don’t get to quit being related. You can walk away from us but we’ll never quit you.

We aren’t looking for just anybody to join this movement. The Resistance is only for committed people who are interested in making a difference.

We are people who pledge to prioritize what’s important (family, friends, work and business, church and community involvement) for the sole purpose of achieving happiness, continuous improvement and realizing our full potential.

If your friends won’t join you on this endeavor, you’ll lead by example until they decide to join you in a more fulfilling life

#3. We Keep It Real, With LFX!
In the military when they use what’s known as Live Fire Exercises (LFX) to teach our troops what real war is like. They use real live munitions because there is no substitute for real life scenarios when preparing for battle.

When we train for business inside The Resistance we prepare ourselves using real world examples of actual business problems we’ve overcame and scenarios with each other as well as from successful business leaders who prepare us for battle! Just as Iron sharpens Iron we share our real live experiences to sharpen each other.

#4. We understand that you can’t out-earn your stupidity.
Its been said that no matter what income level your at you could always find a use for 20% more of your current salary. This is true of most of us.

However, Income is only part of the equation. Inside The Resistance you’ll learn to detect the slight of hand that robs families and businesses of so much of their potential by stealing their wealth through debt.

How we finance our lives is only 80% of the battle for Excellence. Cost control is the number one cause of failed businesses and you can’t out earn stupid business decisions.

Inside we share techniques designed to keep you from falling victim to debt and we keep each other accountable to make it possible to recover the 20% that’s missing from our financial plans.

#5. We Work With Passion And Wisdom.
Because of our passion we have the energy to work on all the things we want to improve. Because of our wisdom, we’re not naive enough to think we can do them all at once and we feel the power that comes from focusing our own excellence.

We have a 2 step plan for improvement.
1. We attract and recognize opportunity
2. We then capitalize on it and achieve the progress we desire.

We only work on those things that matter and before we set a goal we understand why it’s important. We know what “done” looks like, and when it needs to be accomplished by in order to benefit most from if. We measure and report our progress to remain accountable and we are ready to adjust but never ready to settle.

#6. We Love What We Do, Until We Can Do What We Love
“Get a job you love and you’ll never work a day in your life!”… Bull Sh!+!

“Get a job you love and you’ll never work a day in your life!”… Bull Sh!+!

We all have jobs or own businesses that turn out to be a lot of work. Many of us arrived so late to the “Excellence” lifestyle that we now find ourselves buried to our eyeballs with responsibilities that keep us bound to our current jobs seemingly unable to pursue “self actualization”.

Well like the old song says, “Love The One You’re With!” Find something that makes you happy, and it gets your heart pumping and keeps you striving for excellence in the job or company you’re in right now.

There’s an opportunity there for you to exploit. You can use this situation to your advantage. Keep searching and keep pushing, focusing on the things you love about your current occupation that drives you to succeed. This is a crucial part of the resistance and you will be able to use this as a building block to your future until you get to do what you love. You don’t have to wait another day to live your purpose in life. You can start “working it” into your daily life today.

#7. We Rise Above Average By Lifting Each Other

We’re all in this together, and we’re here to support each other. Our strength is in our differences, different ages different experiences, different backgrounds, different perspectives, different motivations, and different opinions. Although we have many differences we don’t have to have many disagreements. We use these differences to better understand our families, our friends, our bosses, our customers and competitors.

When we see someone suffering from battle fatigue inside The Resistance, struggling with their quest for excellence in a world filled with so much pressure to just be mediocre, we pick them up when they’re down. We motivate and encourage them when they need it. We agree to tell each other when things are “Good” and we agree to listen when we’re told what’s “Good For Us”. Telling the truth in love to the people we care about ensure that no one’s left behind.

#8. We Challenge Status Quo.

The Resistance exists to expose its members to new ideas. Like mental awakening we show each other what’s possible.
We challenge traditional ideals questioning social norms. We blaze our own trail.

We resist the social pressure to “just get by” we reverse engineer successful ideas and deconstruct problems to uncover unique solutions that give rise to new ideas.

We stamp out apathy and complacency wherever it exists and we incorporate new ideas whenever practical.

#9. We Are What We Have Overcome.

We recognize that overcoming fear is the beginning of Excellence. It’s all that stands between us and the difference we seek to make.

Because we face our fear, we accomplish great things. We recognize that failure is inevitable and it’s the bridge between knowledge and understanding.

We help each other feel the fear, acknowledge it and move past it because we believe that failure is better than regret. and failure is the portal to success.

#10. We only depend on ourselves knowing we can draw from each other.

We’re proud of where we came from and excited about where we’re going because inside The Resistance we refuse to blame our unfortunate situations on our circumstances.

Average people are dependent on the government, their parents (or other family members) lenders or our employers to bail us out of every difficult situation.

As a result there is no accountability for anything because we fall victim to circumstances beyond our control (genetics, the economy, global warming, Wall Street, etc).

Not us! We don’t depend on anyone for anything; we accept the fact that it’s our responsibility to drive our own outcome in every situation.

We want to be better workers, bosses, husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, sons, daughters; people who lead in every situation.

We want to be better, stronger, faster, brighter bluer than the “Average Joe's” all around us—We know it’s going to be hard but Life is hard and we’re determined.

When we fall we fall forward and we pick each other up. We will succeed because we
get things done and We are accountable to each other.

I personally, want to be the best “Above Average” Joe that I can be! That means I need to surround myself with people like you who are smart, creative, efficient, goal oriented, informed, incredibly dedicated to this movement because our collective intelligence is genius!

Well how 'bout it, Are You In?

These are the tenets of Maximize Excellence and the driving force for The Resistance movement.
For those who are devoted to Excellence and ready to join The Resistance against mediocrity:

If you want to be part of this movement of champions, If you refuse to settle for less, then make your move, join us.

If you want to be part of this band of Rebels dedicated getting results and encouraging others to do the same, join us.

If you really want to find out what you’re personally and professionally capable of, join us.

Now, if this sounds like too much work and you’re unwilling to make changes in order to live a life above Average, no worries. Thanks for your time, and we wish you the best of luck. We’ll still be here when you get back.
For the Resistance,
Joe
